Echo SMS message templates are released today!

If you’re sending a large number of relatively similar messages, having to type each one out individually can be quite time-consuming.  So you’ll be pleased to hear that we’ve just released some new functionality into Echo, to allow users to create and apply message templates.

SMS message templates are quick and easy to build and are great for maintaining consistency, avoiding spelling and grammar mistakes and saving time.

SMS reminders, campaigns, alerts and notifications are just some of the types of messages that are likely to be sent in a standardised format. The templates can also be used for SMS scheduling and bulk sends.

You simply create your templates, fill in the gaps (if required) and hit send.

Indian SMS ban extended until September 29th

The Indian government’s decision to ban SMS has been extended until Wednesday.

As we reported last week, the ban was due to end on Saturday September 25th.  But a delay in the ruling from the High Court case which led to the ban means bulk SMS and MMS effectively remain banned for another 72 hours.
