SMS is used in conjunction with their general contact strategy. They found that setting the scene with a letter works well with most of their communications; this is then followed up with emails, phone calls and text messages. Not everyone reads emails and it’s hard to get hold of people on the phone; with SMS all information is available instantly and effortlessly, which is a real biting point for getting a response!
