What happened to Textlocal?
Textlocal decommissioned its Messenger platform on 30th November 2025. All current Textlocal customers have been asked to migrate to Webex Interact as soon as possible. This follows the acquisition of Textlocal by by Cisco.
For businesses looking for continuity, local support and a dedicated messaging partner, Esendex provides a future-proof alternative with a broader range of messaging channels and enterprise-grade service.
Can customers still access their Textlocal Messenger account and data?
Not in all cases. After the closing deadline on 30th November 2025, access to account data may still be possible for up to 90 days, but only via support and on a case by case basis. Textlocal recommended that users export all important data before the deadline to avoid losing data.
What will happen to my pre-paid Textlocal credits?
If you move to Webex Interact, your existing Textlocal credits will be transferred to your new account. If you choose not to migrate, you may still be able to request a refund for any unused and unexpired credits after your Textlocal account closes on 30 November. These requests are handled directly by the Textlocal support team.
Is it easy to migrate from Textlocal UI to the Esendex UI?
Yes. Our team will support you through every step of the migration process, from importing contacts to replicating message templates.
I will need to re-integrate the Esendex API. What support will Esendex provide?
Esendex has a full suite of published dev docs and our expert API technical support team will be on hand to support you the whole way.
