What you’ll be doing

Working as part of a global Routing Team, as Routing Analyst you will be responsible for ensuring our SMS, RCS and Voice services are routed globally via the most cost effective networks and partners whilst ensuring internal SLAs are never compromised.

You will assist with growing our supplier relationships, ensuring quality and stable routes are available globally at all times.

The role will encompass many of the following duties each month:

  • Processing supplier price files
  • Identifying improved commercial routing opportunities
  • Assisting with contractual administration
  • Testing SMS routes
  • Working with Operations Teams when required to set up new supplier binds / config file details
  • Ensuring internal online routing reference pages are current and concise 
  • Preparing monthly cost projections
  • Retrospective analysis of message costs
  • Assisting the Dept. Manager with supplier relationship management 
  • Involvement in the technical routing aspects of projects with technical teams
  • Adhoc routing related projects & analysis
  • Liaising & communicating with suppliers to promptly resolve technical issues
  • Streamlining and continually improving current routing procedures
  • Production and maintenance of professional routing related reports for senior management
  • Regular interaction with internal technical and financial teams
  • Assisting Customer Support with issues affecting global routes
  • Processing routing related Jira tickets to resolve customer / network queries and issues
  • Designing and developing financial models
  • Supplier invoice reconciliation
  • Assisting with annual budget preparation

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • A motivated ‘can do’ attitude
  • A very high level of Excel spreadsheet skills
  • SQL report writing experience
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving experience
  • A keen eye for detail and a be a highly logical thinker
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An above average level of maths and understanding of finance
  • A high level of accuracy
  • The desire to continually improve processes and make a difference
  • The ability to thrive within a small team with significant responsibility for ensuring business systems and commercials are optimised
  • Willing to be on call out of hours (rota basis) to assist technical teams with routing advice as/when necessary

Desirable

  • Good understanding of IT procedures and technical jargon / ability to understand high level system architecture
  • Previous experience of using a ticketing system such as Jira
  • Previous experience growing supplier relationships
  • Experience of working in telecoms 
  • European languages
