About the role

Commify are looking for a SecOps Engineer to join our growing Tech Ops team.  This role will help us ensure we deliver and run our technology in a secure way, in our datacentres, our cloud platforms and our applications.  This technical role will allow you to dive into the detail and apply security configurations yourself, but also require you to step back and plan how we build our processes and tools to meet our security goals.  This means you will have a huge variety in your work, at a dynamic international company.

What you’ll be doing

What you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure solutions designs include technical security best practice
  • Be a subject matter expert on infrastructure, cloud and application security
  • Help Software Engineering teams strike the right balance between security and agility
  • Develop a strong awareness of security best-practice in the Infrastructure teams
  • Recommend and deploy SecOps tools  to help you and others work with as little friction as possible
  • Document plans, processes and architectures that support a successful SecOps function
  • Undertake cyber investigations into live  issues, company processes, and perform due diligence on company acquisitions 
  • Work closely with the Compliance function who define the business security policies for the company
  • Advise technical teams on designing and implementing solutions to meet the policy that Compliance define

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • Experience of configuring network security equipment and security configurations in the Public Cloud
  • Experience of designing technical solutions for Information Security standards and Data regulations e.g. ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI.
  • Experience of configuring and maintaining Security tools e.g. Anti-virus, Endpoint protection, Patch Management, Data Leak Protection, Privileged Access Management
  • Experience of participating in CyberSecurity Incident investigations, troubleshooting, evidence finding through logs and forensic techniques
