What to expect

About the role 

As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring employees across our international business have the knowledge and skills to successfully sell our products and services to our customers. You will ensure you maintain a deep understanding of our systems, technology and products, working closely with department managers and the L&D Manager to develop and deliver contemporary learning interventions for both new and existing employees. You will have an engaging facilitation style and the ability to inspire employees to embed their knowledge into practice. You will continually evaluate the success of your interventions, using key data and behavioural metrics, creating reports to showcase your performance.

What you’ll be doing

As Product Trainer you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining deep personal knowledge of all products and services available across the Commify territories and their associated use cases within a variety of business sectors.
  • Using a variety of formal, informal, digital, virtual and face to face techniques to deliver learning programmes.
  • Working with international new starters to ensure they are effectively onboarded and achieving high levels of productivity at the earliest opportunity.
  • Delivering learning and development programs to ensure high levels of product knowledge and customer interaction techniques are achieved amongst our international teams.
  • Working closely with the product team to ensure new features and functionality knowledge is efficiently and effectively acquired across our international teams.
  • Working with the project management and product teams to facilitate knowledge transfer to enable effective migrations in line with our mergers and acquisitions strategy.
  • Ensuring that product knowledge and customer interaction techniques are fully embedded across all international teams.
  • Helping to curate a suite of accessible learning resources using a variety of technology
  • Supporting the L&D Manager to ensure a learning culture is embedded across the organisation.
  • Working with the L&D Manager, line managers and employees to identify learning needs across the organisation and ensuring the Learning Development strategy is delivered in line with organisational objectives.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of learning interventions by measuring and tracking behavioural change combined with data and metrics.

What we’re looking for

The job holder will be an exceptional candidate, with a proven track record in a similar role. In particular, they are required to have:

  • Proven experience of developing, implementing and embedding successful and engaging learning and development programmes using a variety of techniques
  • Product training experience
  • A passion for the training and development of others
  • A Learning and Development qualification, for example, CIPD, TAP
  • Knowledge of contemporary Learning and Development thinking
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Experience of partnering with varying departments to identify learning needs
  • Experience in engaging, influencing and managing key stakeholders across all levels

It would be great if you also had:

  • Previous experience in an I.T. systems training role
  • Working knowledge of Sales Force
  • Working knowledge of TalentLMS
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced B2B sales organisation
  • Previous experience working with both commodity and solutions sales teams
