About the role

We are looking for a Key Account Manager to execute business growth plans and deliver against the budgeted revenue/gross profit figures across our high value customers who utilise our messaging products.

Reporting into a member of the Commify UK sales management team, you will be managing a portfolio of high value and high potential customers. We expect you to develop high quality and meaningful conversations with senior stakeholders to solve their key business problems. Ultimately, by doing this, you will achieve the financial business goals of Commify which is to drive organic year on year growth.

You will have the opportunity to work with new and emerging messaging technology and some of the most well known “high street” brands.

What you’ll be doing

As Key Account Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Driving the organic year on year revenue & profit growth of a small number of named high value customers within Commify UKI
  • Consistently develop new upsell and cross sell opportunities with the named customers. This will be for both core SMS products as well as key messaging solutions delivered by our Professional Services team
  • Complete and take part in Account Reviews and Opportunity Reviews to ensure that the established sales process is being followed and plans are being executed on
  • Regularly meet with customers face to face to build relationships and networks within the customers
  • Although not a key part of the role, where appropriate and requested to work on new business from new customer opportunities
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the business
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities
  • Working closely with the Professional Services team to ensure the smooth delivery of solutions projects

  • Building collaborative relationships with other key Commify stakeholders including Service, Marketing, Product and Delivery 
  • Using these key relationships to drive and influence product functionality, market segmentation and campaigns to enable incremental revenue growth

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with a proven track record in a similar role, with experience in the following areas:

  • A strong sales acumen 
  • Ability to perform sales planning, pipeline management & forecasting
  • Experience in a field based account management or new business development role
  • Negotiating engagement pricing and experience of winning long term multi-year contractual agreements
  • Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and experience of value based selling and contracting to large enterprises
  • Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships at both, C-level and functional levels
  • Confident presentation skills with experience of presenting to C-Level audiences 
  • Ability to multi-task within tight timeframes, and rapidly amend plans and tactics in response to changes in priority or situation
  • Detailed planning and control skills
  • Experience of selling technology products/services
  • Results driven and target focussed
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation

It would be great if you also had

  • Experience using/knowledge of Salesforce
  • Expertise or experience with tele-communication or business messaging solutions
  • Experience of selling into Financial Services (DCAs, Debt Purchasing etc)
