What to expect

About the role 

The Business Development Manager will be accountable for executing net new business for the UK & IE territories. Primarily obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales. 

You will have the opportunity to work with new and emerging messaging technology and some of the most well known “high street” brands.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Contacting potential clients to establish relationships and arrange meetings
  • Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Finding and developing new markets & verticals to improve sales
  • Working closely with the account manager function to define the overall proposition
  • Developing quotes and proposals for customers
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the business
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of both, on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities
  • Working closely with the Professional Services team to ensure the smooth delivery of solutions projects

What you’ll be doing

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with a proven track record in a similar role, with experience in the following areas:

  • Experience in a field based new business development role
  • Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and experience of value-based selling and contracting to large enterprises
  • Strong sales acumen 
  • Ability to perform sales planning and pipeline management
  • Negotiate engagement pricing and experience of winning long-term multi-year contractual agreements
  • Ability to build winning sales plans that clearly articulates why Commify will be successful with a prospect
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships at both, C-level and functional levels
  • Confident presentation skills with experience of presenting to C-Level audiences 
  • Experience of complex sales processes, involving multiple stakeholders and prospects  
  • Ability to multi-task within tight timeframes, and rapidly amend plans and tactics in response to changes in priority or situation
  • Detailed planning and control skills
  • Using internal resources and business partners to provide solutions to customers’ challenges
  • Experience of selling technology products/services
  • Experience in social selling (ie LinkedIn)
  • Results driven and target focussed
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience using/knowledge of Salesforce
  • Expertise or experience with tele-communication or business messaging solutions
