About the role

Reporting to the Sales Manager in Spain, this newly created Business Development Manager position will be accountable for attracting and signing new business for our Spanish entity, with the goal of obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships to increase revenue from sales to help us achieve our ambitious growth targets.

What you’ll be doing

What you will be responsible for:

  • Contacting potential clients to arrange meetings to present our solutions and build long-term business relationships.
  • Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities 
  • Finding and developing new markets & verticals to improve sales 
  • Working closely with the account manager function to define the overall proposition
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients 
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the business 
  • Reach the monthly Commify group target in terms new customer revenue (New customer revenue, turnover & number of new clients) 
  • Working closely with the Marketing department to improve the effectiveness of both on and offline marketing to maximise sales opportunities 
  • Working closely with the Professional Services team to ensure the smooth delivery of solutions projects

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with experience in the following areas:

  • Strong sales acumen with focus on prospection and signing new businesses
  • Experience in sales planning and pipeline management 
  • Experience in a field based new business development role 
  • Negotiate engagement pricing and experience of winning long-term multi-year contractual agreements 
  • Able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and experience of value-based selling and contracting to large enterprises 
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Confident presentation and communication skills, with experience of presenting to C-Level audiences
  • Experience of complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and prospects
  • Ability to multi-task within tight timeframes, and rapidly amend plans and tactics in response to changes in priority or situation 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills 
  • Solid influencing and negotiation skills 
  • Experience in social selling (LinkedIn Sales Navigator) 
  • Results driven and target focussed 
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems, especially SalesForce, including experience of all aspects of the sales cycle and workflow generation 

It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience of selling technology and communications products/services
