Another first from Esendex – SEPA Direct Debit Payments

Topic: Esendex news

The Royal Bank of Scotland have recently launched SEPA Direct Debits via Bankline, RBS’s online banking service for UK clients. With SEPA Direct Debit origination, organisations no longer require multiple bank accounts or a range of complex payment instruments to make cross border collections throughout Europe.
Here at Esendex, our European operations have been growing rapidly. The need to have local banking arrangements across Europe was inefficient and a potential constraint on further expansion. Working closely alongside RBS, we are the first company to move to SEPA.  This has dramatically improved our cash collection process in Europe.
Catherine Russell, our Financial Controller comments;
‘The bank identified the solution and provided valuable IT support and expertise to enable us to undertake our first French and Irish collections under the SEPA system. They worked alongside our Finance team and Solutions for Accounting, who provided our accounts system and the technical aspects for creating the SEPA files. Thanks to this solution, Esendex’s European future looks extremely bright’.
Esendex now has over 11,000 clients. By implementing the best possible business processes, we can continue to deliver the World’s best mobile business messaging services to our customers.
