On Monday night, Girl Geek Dinner Nottingham was held at Jam Café. Girl Geek Dinners are about bringing together women who are passionate about technology to share conversation and ideas in a friendly atmosphere. We thought we’d sponsor the event as we are heavily involved in the developer community and see this as being important to continually improve our products and user experience.
After an introduction from Geoff, our Marketing Director at Esendex, Dr Julie Greensmith, a Computer Science Lecturer at Nottingham University, did a talk on the research into biosensory information gathered from people riding roller coasters. And there’s a hell of a lot of science behind that!
After a short cake break, Gemma our software Developer did a fantastic talk on behaviour driving development, explaining the agile techniques of behaviour and test-driven development in .NET.
