Esendex raised over £2,000 for charities in 2018

At Esendex we love helping businesses communicate with their customers better, providing great solutions for all types of businesses. But we don’t just stop there, we also love to help those less fortunate by raising money for charities and spending time helping others.
Over the past few years, Esendex employees have trekked around the Peak District, taken part in The Colour Run in Birmingham, and even slept rough for Framework’s Big Sleep Out, all to help raise money for charities.
And 2018 was no different, as we continued the hard work and raised a whopping £2,187.

To raise the money, our amazing staff council worked tirelessly to run various fund-raising activities, from the traditional raffles and sweepstakes, quizzes, and cake sales. But this wasn’t enough, we wanted to think outside the box and raise money in a not so traditional way, which is exactly what we did when we had our sofa auction that raised £200.

What else we did to raise money

Helping others is not just about raising money, in 2018 we contributed prizes to lots of raffles, donated 2 new mattresses, collected and donated pyjamas, picked up a paintbrush and painted a house, and even started building a brand new website for Nottingham Central Women’s Aid which will be completed early in 2019.
“Social responsibility should be high up on all agendas and it’s great that Esendex has chosen to partner with such an important charity. Our Staff Council have managed to engage employees from across the business to support in various ways and we look forward to helping even further” – Nimira Kassam, Head of HR

“Nottingham Central Women’s Aid are very grateful for all the help and support Esendex staff have given us. We are an independent charity that receives no government funding. We help women and families to rebuild their lives and ultimately go on to lead independent and happy lives, free from fear. The donations have made a huge difference to the women and children we support who often arrive at our refuge with nothing but the ‘clothes on their backs’.
We are also very grateful that Esendex are developing our new website. This is such a vital tool in not only raising awareness of domestic abuse but providing information that can be life-saving to women. Everyone at our charity would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all staff at Esendex.” – Aimi McCaffery, Communications and Fundraising Lead, Nottingham Central Women’s Aid
We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Nottingham Central Women’s Aid and helping to raise money throughout the year and we will continue to do this in 2019.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us in any way last year.
