Last Sunday morning saw another Esendex Last Minute Triathlon take place at Southwell Leisure Centre, Nottinghamshire.
A bright, still clear day greeted over 500 athletes of varying abilities from first-timers to national champions.
The Sprint triathlon consists of a 400m swim, 20km bike ride and a 5km run. Esendex who were headline sponsors were represented in the competition by a team of four members of the Development Team. Darren posted our fastest time of 1:05:15 which was a personal best for this event.
The overall winner was Beeston’s Andy Tarry in a time of 47:21. Tarry, 43, was crowned National Champion for the 40-44 age group at the National Sprint Distance Championships in Staffordshire in August.
