Go dine was formed after the founder identified a number of un-serviced needs for both restaurants and diners. He soon became convinced that an opportunity existed to create a modern solution to the age old problems of finding and filling restaurants. Go dine now works with a number of large restaurants across the country to help them generate more bookings.
Once the online booking was made, the company still needed an efficient way to confirm the booking and to send customers reminders. Go dine identified that sending SMS reminders and booking confirmations would be an ideal solution.
Go dine sends instant SMS booking confirmations and timely text message reminders to diners before they are due to arrive. The founder says;
“Without SMS we would be reliant on emails and the diner might not have up-to-the minute access to their emails. SMS allows us to be instantaneous with our confirmations and reminders, reducing the number of restaurant no-shows and also provides great customer service.”
Go dine’s innovative business has been recognised by an experienced panel of judges at this year’s Web Start-up of the Year. The founder says;
“It’s been great to win the award; we’ve had more visitors to our website, more people tweeting, increased awareness and recognition. As we continue to grow, we will be looking at more ways that we can use SMS”.
