Full Circle Catering have implemented Web SMS from Esendex to send employment information to relief staff and to send details of employees to clients. SMS is now business critical to their operations, without the service they would not be able to provide staff on demand at short notice. |

Full Circle Catering established in 2002 and is an independent specialist relief chef agency that provides temporary chefs both locally and nationwide to hotels, restaurants, golf clubs and a variety of other organisations.
Previous to using the Web SMS service, they used mobile phones to text relief staff. With over 600 phone numbers, it became extremely difficult to pick users and groups of people. The demand for relief staff was high and Full Circle Catering could not respond to enquiries and bookings as promptly as they wanted to, using traditional text messaging by hand.
Web SMS allows you to send SMS to different groups easily and messages are sent quickly. Full Circle Catering can now send SMS messages from their computers and receive them to their mobiles using the SMS forwarding functionality. This is a vital feature because responses from chefs are normally received out of hours (due to shift work). This has allowed efficiency to be maintained outside of the office. As well as SMS forwarding, group SMS and the 2-way SMS service has proven to be invaluable.

Last year Full Circle Catering had an inspection for BERR (formally the DTI). They are governed by the employment agencies act 2003. A requirement from BERR was for them to send a letter out to relief staff with details of their employment. As this wasn’t always possible as staff can be employed at extremely short notice, Full Circle Catering asked if SMS confirmation would be a suitable alternative. SMS has now been accepted by the Inspector as being an acceptable communication platform.
Last year Full Circle set up another business called Full Circle Care. They provide a similar service but to the nursing and healthcare industry. The Director concludes;
“When the Full Circle Care business started, Esendex was the first contract we signed.”
