Short codes, also known as marketing campaign codes, are memorable five digit SMS text numbers (e.g. 80806) which are widely used in Premium Rate SMS services such as website subscriptions, enquiry "on demand" services, charity donation services, outdoor advertising, TV and Radio competitions.
Short codes are also used for non-premium rate marketing campaigns where the user responds to a campaign by texting to the short code. They are only charged their standard network rate to text in and any responses are sent as "free-to-user" SMS.
We also offer an exclusive freetext shortcode, 8-0800, which mirrors typical freephone numbers. People can text 80800 for free and the cost of sending the message is paid for by you.
